Being a super mom isn’t about perfection—it’s about showing up, even when you’re exhausted, even when no one seems to notice all that you do
We would like to thank you for supporting Denean Russell in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
The most rewarding part of being a mom is witnessing the pure, unconditional love that grows between you and your child. It’s in the little moments—the sleepy cuddles, the tiny hand reaching for yours, the laughter that fills the air. It’s watching them discover the world, knowing you are their safe place. It’s seeing kindness in their hearts and strength in their steps, realizing you helped shape that. Motherhood is love in its purest form, and that love makes every challenge worth it.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget? The year my children's grandmother bought us a Christmas tree was unforgettable. It was a beautiful, pre-lit, rotating tree that glowed warmly when plugged in. As it turned, the twinkling lights filled the room with magic. From that year on, every Thanksgiving weekend, we carried on the tradition of decorating it with ornaments my children had lovingly made throughout the year. Once finished, I captured a photo of all three of them in front of the tree, each picture a cherished memory.
What would you do with $20,000?With $20,000, I would balance practical needs with meaningful experiences for my family. I’d prioritize repaying debts, building savings, and making smart investments. Some funds could go toward home improvements, reliable transportation, and medical expenses. I’d also set aside money for family vacations, extracurricular activities, and small treats to create lasting memories. Above all, I’d use the money to provide my loved ones security, comfort, and valuable opportunities.
