Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part is not allowing being a teen mom to stop me from being a great mom. Knowing how well I’ve nurtured and raised her even when people thought I was too young is rewarding. It’s rewarding supporting my daughter in her church, academics, track, tumbling, and dance and watching her give it her all! It makes me so proud knowing how dedicated she is to her dreams and goals!

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

I will never forget living in an apartment and my daughter riding the bus and seeing the home that we live in today. She sent me the home link but I overlooked it. I didn’t believe that I had enough income at the time with doubt. When I finally started looking for a home, we pulled up and my daughter was so excited she almost cried. The Lord showed her the home before I even knew. I will never forget this memory because it was like confirmation of the blessing that was meant for us! 🥰

What would you do with $20,000?

I would take a relaxing trip or spa day with my daughter and mom. My daughter gives me so much strength. I gave birth to her at 15 years old and completed nursing school at 21 years old and nurse practitioner school at 27 years old. I wanted to provide a fruitful life for my baby. My mom showed me what a true hard working, nurturing mother was. I would then invest or save for my daughter’s college tuition.
