What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part of being a mom to Tad is getting to experience the world through his unique perspective. His joy in the little things, his strength in the face of challenges, and the unconditional love he gives remind me every day of what truly matters. Every milestone, no matter how small, feels like a huge victory—and being by his side through it all is the greatest gift of my life.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

One memory I’ll never forget is the first time Tad, my nonverbal Autistic son, made intentional eye contact with me and smiled. It was such a simple moment, but it felt like the whole world stopped. After so many days of wondering how to reach him, that moment was like a little miracle—his way of saying, “I see you, Mom.” I’ll carry that feeling with me forever.

What would you do with $20,000?

With $20,000, I would pour it right back into what matters most—supporting families like mine. I’d give back to the Autism community by expanding Awareness events, providing more resources, and creating respite opportunities for special needs moms. I’d also invest in our church’s special needs ministry—making it more inclusive, sensory-friendly, and welcoming for every family. And of course, I’d make sure Tad has everything he needs to thrive. It would be a blessing I’d use to bless others.
