I am a Super Mom because I have been a constant source of support; breathing life into others when they lack the strength to continue.
We would like to thank you for supporting Darianniz Reyes in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
The most rewarding aspect of motherhood is watching the physical manifestation of my love & dedication come to fruition. Observing my child become her own person, listening to her develop her ideas about the world around her, & giving her the space to find herself is enough validation to know that I am doing my best because she is safe and happy. This is also reflected in my career as a special education teacher - Being able to treat others with the dignity they deserve & watching them grow.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget? My daughter Lily has to be one of the funniest people I know. Not only is she silly, but she has incredible one liners: Instead of "Abomination," she'll say something is an "Obama-nation." If something is confusing she says it's "compeckaling my mind." She even referred to merengue as "tiquitiqui" dance" But one memory that stands out is when, on a whim, she broke out singing Laufey's "From the Start." Her father and I were so moved that we could not stop crying how amazing she sang.
What would you do with $20,000?If I were to win, I would prioritize getting out of debt and moving into a space where my daughter can have her own room. My daughter and I live in a NYC studio and have been there for 10 years. Debt has prevented us from moving out and it hurt when my daughter requested having her own bed for Christmas. I also may take a mini vacation with my daughter (because she's awesome)
