Receive Text UpdatesThe most rewarding part of being a mom is watching my children grow into their own person and seeing them to do amazing things. My 10 year old son has cerebral palsy and was born without any signs of life. Today, he is alive and always has a huge smile on his face. He inspires me. My 17 year old son graduated at the age of 16 and my 8 year old is a dancer, gymnast and soccer player. I am truly inspired by all the great things I have seen my children accomplish.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget? There are so many memories I will never forget with my children but one I can name is when we purchased our first home. I remember my oldest son being so excited to have his own room and my daughter was so excited about having a backyard where she can play in the pool. I remember laying across my 10 year old son's lap as he sat in his wheelchair, watching him smile and laughing at my other two children. We all just danced and laughed in the living room of our first home.
What would you do with $20,000?My 10 year old son who is in a wheelchair has gotten bigger over the years and it has become difficult to carry him. Every morning, I carry him to the car for school and then from the car after school. I would like to buy a wheelchair accessible van so that I no longer have to carry him to and from the car. It will also ensure that he is more comfortable in the car. He is spastic, and gets uncomfortable and tense in the current carseat that he has. It causes him a lot of pain.
