Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding thing about being a mom is having my own little human to love & care for. When he wakes up before me & gives me a forehead kiss like I do when he’s asleep, my heart melts. Every part of being a mom is a gift, not only do I guide him through life, but he unknowingly guides me too. There’s no better feeling than being a mother to someone who sees you as their whole world, even on the days you don’t feel like enough.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

A memory I’ll never forget is when I was sick, & my sweet 6-year-old took care of me like a little grown-up. With help from his grandma, he made sure I had my fluids, soup, and medicine, even checked my temperature. He’s done this for years, so full of love & care. In that moment, I saw the heart of someone far beyond his age. His tiny hands holding mine reminded me I wasn’t alone. He’s my angel in a little boy’s body.

What would you do with $20,000?

With $20,000, I’d work toward getting our own home, a place my son can truly feel safe & free. I try every day to save & give him the life he deserves. The first thing I’d do is get him the dog he’s always wanted. The house we live in doesn’t allow pets, & it breaks my heart to keep saying no. This would be more than money, it’d be a step toward his happiness, & a dream finally becoming real for both of us.
