What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part has been watching myself transform and evolve as a direct result of them being entrusted to me to inform their limitations or lack thereof. I have faced and overcome countless fears, mountains, and perceived impossibilities strictly because I knew that the they were watching and would only grow up to do what I made a part of our reality and normalized as possible. They’ve made me way more capable and courageous than I could have ever been without them.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

As a self/ life proclaimed tough cookie, I pride myself on being able to do hard things, and do them well. When life got tougher than I could have ever anticipated it was my kids that lifted me. My youngest was born with a congenital heart defect. It came with lots of unknowns, the promise of surgery, and no guaranteed success. I decided I would will and pray her into complete healing. But when my heart got weary it was the prayers and resolve of my kids that held me and willed me forward!

What would you do with $20,000?

The first order of business would be a little luxury for the family. I would take them on a Hawaiian vacation. I feel sheer joy just typing that. I would also invest in a passion project. I would organize events to teach yoga, breath work, and meditation to children to support them in understanding and mastering nervous system regulation and intentional self care. I want to give kids in my community the language, understanding & tools to self heal. Oh and I would pay for my daughter’s braces!
