Navigating the challenges of ADHD, while ensure my son has the tools, skills, and confidence to boldly show up as his most vibrant self.
We would like to thank you for supporting Corrine Schuberth in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
Where do I begin? Being able to see your child live out the values you’re instilling in them. Seeing them flourish in all the ways you might not have (because you taught them the skills). Having a reason to pursue your own dreams so they have an example of how to do it when they’re ready. The honor, privilege, and responsibility of being the jet fuel to their life - giving them the energy, tools, and support in the beginning so they’re successful when they break off, ready to explore.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget? When my vibrant, sharp, goofy, kind, first-grader was sitting in the schools deans office, and gave the answer “I don’t know mom, I’m just a bad kid” when being pressured for a reason to his behavior. I knew instantly that I would not let this be his story. It lit a fire in me to seek out supports, interventions, and meetings with school staff. I can happily say 2 years later his school success has sky rocketed. I think of that moment when I see how far we’ve come, and how he shines now.
What would you do with $20,000?I would publish the children’s book I wrote two years ago about doing the right thing (no matter how small you are!) I have read it to Ezra and family at Christmas the past two years, and last Christmas, Ezra asked me “when are going to publish this?” as I’d expressed hopes to before. But, publishing a book is an investment financially, but also an investment in Ezra’s future. By pursuing my dreams and accomplishing goals I’ve set for myself, I am modeling to him that he can do the same.
