What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

In 2019, I found out I was pregnant and diagnosed with lupus in the same appointment. Three days later, I miscarried. Doctors told me I might never have a successful pregnancy. But in 2021, I conceived again, and my beautiful daughter was born healthy. Lupus took so much from me, but God restored my body. Now, I cherish every moment—homeschooling, affirming, and loving her. Being her mom is my greatest honor and miracle.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

One of my favorite memories was when Ari said “Mama” for the first time. At 4 months old, her father and I divorced after 7 years of marriage. It was a tough season, and I decided to write a book about my journey with lupus, miscarriage, and loss. When I received the first proof copy in August 2021, Ari looked at my picture on the cover and said “Mama.” My eyes filled with tears—I felt like, in that moment, I made her proud.

What would you do with $20,000?

Being a first-time single mom hasn’t been easy. I’ve worked hard to provide for Ari, but financial challenges have made it tough. I’d use the $20,000 toward buying a home so she can have a stable and loving space to grow. Winning this would be life-changing for us and help create the foundation for her future.
