Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Watching them grow and become their own person is the best part of being a mom. They are both in high school and watching them in the "real world" is so fantastic. They are such great kids and I get to say "I did that!"

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

My children were in the tween ages and they each made me something for Mothers day. This wasn't the first time they had made me something but it was the first time they weren't asked to and there was no expectation. My daughter made a bouquet of flowers out of pipe cleaners and it was the coolest thing I'd ever seen. My son made me a card stating how proud he was of me. My heart melted, I was so proud of them and grateful for the moment of recognition.

What would you do with $20,000?

$20,000 is crazy to think about. I would fill the house with food, these kids can eat. My daughter graduates this year and I would like to help her with getting a car. She's been saving and I would be so happy to do that for her. I would take the whole family on a trip to decompress, some new clothes for the family. Overall it would just make life a little easier and that would be grand.
