Making sure I keep growing so that I can meet my kids where they each are so I can help guide them to the best versions of themselves
We would like to thank you for supporting Christi Bynum in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
I think the most rewarding part of being a mom is being able to watch them grow through all of their ages and stages and taking the time to see it from their perspective. Each of my kids are different and they each have their different personalities that evolve over their life. I have learned over time to take the pause and just be present with them. The laundry and dishes will be there, but these times won’t.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?Picking just one is incredibly hard so maybe this will count as a cool loophole. A memory for each of my kids that I will never forget is watching them when they are talking about something they really enjoy or playing and explaining what they are doing. Seeing the joy and passion that comes from within them creates such a glow. The way they light up and encompass that pure and genuine sparkle about them is a memory I will never forget.
What would you do with $20,000?There are so many options. If I were to split it up I would get them things they’ve really been wanting that we just haven’t been able to afford like a swing-set and bikes. Also hobbies and sports and go on a family trip to the beach or even Disney; somewhere that we could make awesome memories and spend quality time. If I were to use it all in one place it would go toward giving them a fresh start somewhere where they could each have their own room and be able to personalize their space.
