I’m a single mom raising a 14-year-old athlete—his biggest fan, fiercest supporter, and everyday superhero. Love, strength, and persistence!
We would like to thank you for supporting Chelsea Romero in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
The most rewarding part of being a mom is seeing my son grow, not just as an athlete, but as a person. Seeing their hard work pay off, their confidence build, seeing him think for himself and chase his dreams. Its the deep conversations we have about the world, the moments when he looks to me for guidance, and knowing that my love, strength, and values shape the man he's becoming. Its in the little moments too, the laughter, the hugs, the "Thanks, Mom" that remind you its all worth it.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget? One core memory I will never forget is the first time he called me "Mama" The tiny word held a world of love, trust, and connection. It was the moment I truly felt the weight and joy of being his mother, knowing I was his safe place, his guide, and the person he'd always look up to. Even now, as he grows into his own person, that memory reminds me that no matter how big he gets, I'll always be "Mama" to him.
What would you do with $20,000?If I won 20,000, I would put it toward buying a home. A stable place where my son and I can continue building our future. The rest would go into his college fund, investing in his education and dreams. Every dollar would be used to create security, opportunity and a foundation for an even brighter future.
