What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

I am shaping a tiny person into an empathetic, kind, determined, loving human being. I am giving my 5 year old son the tools to become anything his heart desires and to potentially make a positive impact on the world and or others around him throughout his lifetime.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

After 25 years together and one child. My husband died unexpectedly from cancer in November of 2024. One morning, My son found a tiny white feather on the ground and stated “My daddy visits me from heaven and here is the tiny feather, his angel wing left behind”. My heart pounds and my eyes tear up with happy yet sad tears when I hear my son say his daddy leaves a feather each time he visits him from heaven.

What would you do with $20,000?

As a veterans widow and a single mommy to a 5 year old, I would use the money to move my son and back home to Louisiana, where our family lives. With a portion of the amount, I would plan a trip to Disney, a place my son can be happy and forget the feeling of grief for a weekend and simply be a happy carefree little boy. Lastly, the remaining balance would be placed in a college fund for my son.
