Motherhood is to sacrifice. We can relate to beautiful parts of motherhood, what about the raw parts? Motherhood is sharing the life I fought for with my children. The sacrifices I have made throughout the years to ensure I broke painful cycles of family addiction, abuse and neglect. The most fulfilling and rewarding part of motherhood is the success after all the sacrifice. The Unconditional love and emotional connection fueled by trust, security and faith. They are my biggest success story.

The memories I will never forget are the sacrifices and struggles my children endured along with me. Children are forgiving and love without conditions, a quality that can be both inspiring and a valuable lesson for adults. Every time life seems impossible, I remember how strong they were/are. Resilient, tenacious and hungry for stability. My favorite memory is the first vacation we went on as a family. I did that. They unknowingly give me strength to push forward.

Living in a homeless shelter I began the very long journey to independence. 11 years later, I have created stability and a foundation for my family to thrive.
