I’m a first time mom to a two year old, we have a restraining order against her dad. I’m juggling school, therapy & being her only provider.
We would like to thank you for supporting Carmen Sanchez in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
Having to be my daughters only provider is hard and struggling to make ends meet is the hardest thing I’ve had to do from the ages of 22 to now (25). However knowing she has what she needs and even being able to buy her something that will light up her face makes it all okay.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?I will never forget the day she told me I was her best friend. Every night we give each other a hug and a kiss and say goodnight and one night she grabs my face and says “Mommy, you’re my best friend.” It made me feel like I was doing something right despite feeling like I was failing her.
What would you do with $20,000?There’s a few things I would do with $20,000. First being pay off my school tuition. I would also donate some of the money to help domestic violence victims, being a DV survivor myself I understand what it’s like to be in that situation and need help. Other than that I’d use it for my daughters future education.
