I’m a super mom because I do it all. I’m mom, dad, uber ,tennis coach, housekeeper, chef, doctor all in one. No matter how tired I still go.
We would like to thank you for supporting Candace Walters in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
My son was diagnosed with autism and the rewarding part of being a mother is seeing so many things his doctors said he would never do he proved them wrong and accomplished. He even graduated out of his IEP. He continues to excel even though he’s on the spectrum. He’s a sophomore in high school with a 3.542 GPA. I see nothing but greatness and it continues to motivate me to be there for him as long as I’m on this side.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget? There are so many but one is when he started to walk my mom got it on video. He was so proud of himself with those steps without help that he kept doing it he walked back and forth in that spot and didn’t even notice me walk in from work. When he spotted me he smiled and walked to me to show off what he did and he did it before his first birthday.
What would you do with $20,000?I would put it towards a couple of things some would go to my son’s college fund wherever he is planning to go to school. I would like to get him his first car maybe as like a graduation gift and to motivate him to get his license. Maybe some could go towards some renovations I have wanted to do in my house.
