I’m a single mom of two toddlers. I’m going back to school to pursue nursing, handling the bills, and taking care of my dad who has CHF.
We would like to thank you for supporting Camille Dishong in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
Seeing my kids smile/laugh, watching them learn new things, and seeing them explore with curiosity about everything. Also, when I pick them up from daycare and they come running to hug me. In that moment nothing else matters.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget? When we got kicked out of our house and had to move to hotels and motels. I felt like I failed my kids and when we got to each motel they just embraced every part of it and made it fun even though it was a painful thing to go through with them.
What would you do with $20,000?I would pay off my debt, put money in an account for both of my kids college fund, use some for my nursing school, help my mom, and send my dad on a much needed trip. He has Congestive Heart Failure and he’s getting worse as the days progress. He probably has 6 months to a year to live and I just want to have him transition with knowing that we will be okay. Making a difference in my family is something that I'm devoted to and must make happen.
