Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part of being a mom to me is when someone I don’t personally know has interacted with my sons either through school or their friends or sports will find me and say you are raising some fine boys! Growing up without a father myself, until the age of 10, I always knew that if I was blessed enough to have sons that I wanted them to be good men. I found a good man as adult and married him so my children have a wonderful remodel in their father each and everyday.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

Oh, there are so many..but the one that still gets me tickled to this day is when my son who around 8 at the time and loved the black panther movies. I was in a craft show in Nashville to sell soaps and lotions. I had 2 beautiful ladies of color in my booth shopping and they had beautiful head scarves on. He runs up behind me, kicked me square in the butt, I hit the hit table, soaps and lotions go flying through the air, and he hollers “Uganda Forever!” They laughed. I died. I was so embarrassed

What would you do with $20,000?

Save it mostly but my oldest is 13 now and he will be needing a car soon so in the long run I would essentially spend it on him and his little brother in some form or fashion. We might also take my mom on vacation. Since my dad passed away in 2023 from cancer my mom has worked so hard to Lee a roof over her head I would like to spoil her too with a relaxing vacation.
