Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The moments when your kids say something or do something that shows you you’re doing it right, like helping a smaller child get up on a stool or sharing their food or toys. And, when they look you in the eyes and say “I love you, mom” or in my son’s case, just get excited to see you.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

The day they were born. My daughter’s birth was such a powerful moment for me, and it made me want to take back my womanhood, so to speak. My son’s birth was the most empowering moment in my life, it was so peaceful and for the first time, I felt beautiful while in labor, which I never thought possible either. But, that day, everything was right. He came out perfect.

What would you do with $20,000?

I would probably put most of it away, try to grow some of it and create generational wealth. And, I’d probably use the rest of it to get back into my business, because that’s the one place where I really feel like I can make my dreams for myself and my family come true.
