The most rewarding part about being a mom to me is unconditional love and connection. Being a single mom is definitely one of the hardest challenges I’ve faced but the most rewarding. Seeing this beautiful baby boy look up to me and no matter how i look or feel i know that he will always love me. Shaping him into a kind and compassionate individual, creating memories and traditions my family didn’t, and this journey has grown me into a better person overall.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?Childbirth for sure is one memory I will never forget. I was 32 weeks when his was born due to preeclampsia. I remember taking myself to McDonald’s then to the hospital to have him because I knew i wasn’t going to be able to eat. I had an emergency c section and immediately they rushed him off to the nicu where i wasn’t able to see him in a couple days later.I sat with him for 10 hours most days and every night i had to leave i cried. That moment is when I realized without him there is no me.
What would you do with $20,000?Having a Chronic illness I understand what it is like to struggle with everyday things/ expeensives. I would definitely give back to the Ronald McDonald house i was fortunate enough to have a room there while he was in the Nicu and i will be staying there if i ever need a bone-marrow transplant. Also other programs for cancer patients I was in as teenager that helped me. I would go back to school i had to take a break with not having childcare it has been hard on me doing everything 100% alone
