I’m a 31 year old single mom to an incredible 4 year old boy. I have a full time job, I’m a full time student and I sing and write songs.
We would like to thank you for supporting Bindi Liebowitz in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
For me the most rewarding part is that there is no physical reward. As moms, we don't take care of our kids for anything. There isn't some golden trophy. We show up day after day because we love our children unconditionally without force, without instruction. The award is the excitement on their faces when we pick them up from school, how happy they are to show us every thing they draw or build with blocks. The reward is how naturally they love us in return.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget? When I was pregnant I kept hearing how I would see him & fall instantly in love. When my son was born the umbilical chord was wrapped around his neck twice&I watched his heart rate flat line at least 3 times before they even had me start to push.He was completely purple when they laid him on my chest & had to take him from me fast.I didn't get the chance to fall in love at first sight but later on that night, when I woke up to his hungry cry for the 1st time I held him to feed him & it happened.
What would you do with $20,000?I would put the money towards a home for my son and I in an area with better schools and a backyard for him to play in. We do not need a lot to be happy. Especially material things. Just to be able to afford renting a home for him would be incredible.
