At 23, I became a foster mom to my 3 brothers, one with autism. I put my dreams on hold to keep them safe and loved, no matter the cost.
We would like to thank you for supporting Bezawit shenkute in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
Seeing my brothers smile, knowing they feel safe and loved, is the most rewarding. Their happiness makes every sacrifice worth it.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget? One memory I’ll never forget is when all my brothers came into my care. Despite the uncertainty, they came together to support me during a tough time. My nonverbal brother held my hand, my younger brothers surrounded me with hugs, and I could feel the unconditional love we share. That moment showed me how strong our bond is. It reminded me that we are a family, and together, we can overcome anything. Their love and support make all the sacrifices worth it.
What would you do with $20,000?With $20K, I would invest in my future by pursuing my nursing dream, provide a better life for my brothers, and grow my business, Bezo Nailed It. I’d also use part of it for resources and therapy for my brother with autism, ensuring he gets the support he needs. This gift would help me build a brighter future for us all, empowering me to continue being the best mom and role model I can be.
