Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part of being a mom is when my boys show up for others in a caring, kind & meaningful way; that your hard work raising them has taken affect. That even though life has challenges, the more open communication we have, our trust and bonds strengthen through those challenges. It brings me such joy to see that by leading by example my boys have become aware of their own feelings, are empathetic towards others & are willing to help when called upon.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

I will never forget seeing my kids share my compassion for helping other families facing a pediatric cancer diagnosis. Seeing them want to give back, and proudly put together comforting goodie baskets for kids that are hospitalized, going to school and telling their peers about the books that we wrote, and truly representing our brand and family values.

What would you do with $20,000?

We would invest these funds into our nonprofit, Building BrAve Teams. We work hard to support and educate families facing a pediatric cancer diagnosis through our BrAve Programs; including 1. BrAve Baskets – baskets filled with comforting goodies for families during in-patient hospital stays 2. A copy of our Guidebooks; “Building the BrAve Team…” + “Building My BrAve Mind…” 3.Financial Assistance through our gift card program 4. Support for care givers 5.Access to our Resource Guides
