Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part of being a mom, after experiencing 4 miscarriages, is witnessing the vibrant lives of my five children. From authors to athletes, mentors to volunteers, they inspire me daily. Homeschooling, gardening, and growing with them has stretched and transformed me. Their joy, passion, and purpose have made me better. Motherhood is my greatest honor, and their love is my most cherished gift.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

My most memorable moments are seeing my kids overcome adversity, including personal and physical discomfort, to serve others. I’ll never forget how they helped build the first public library in Opobo Town, Nigeria—finding resources, traveling with me, setting it up, and leading workshops. Watching them come alive in service and live out our values assures me they’ll positively impact the world long after I’m gone.

What would you do with $20,000?

If I win $20,000, I’d invest $10,000 to endow the first public library in Opobo Town, Nigeria. The other $10,000 would support my estate planning law firm’s pro bono work for disadvantaged families with minor children. As an estate planning lawyer, I’m committed to helping parents and guardians actively plan for their children’s wellbeing. This investment will create lasting impact both locally and globally.
