Being able to help my children heal parts of their lives that I didn’t get to heal until adulthood is incredibly meaningful. Breaking ancestral trauma and guiding them to be forces of positive change in this world is one of the most powerful things I can do.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?When my oldest two, who experienced homelessness with me, saw how hard I’ve worked to create stability and safety for them, they acknowledged it with tears in their eyes. They told me how proud they are of me and how grateful they feel for everything we now have.
What would you do with $20,000?I would use $10,000 to secure a forever home for my family, ensuring stability and a place filled with love and security. The other $10,000 would go toward our first-ever family vacation—creating memories, joy, and experiences my children have never had. After everything we’ve overcome, giving them this gift of adventure and quality time would mean the world to me.
