Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

To me, getting to watch my babies go to bed every night, after a full day of snacks, coloring, songs and games. They’re both still little, so I stay home with them, working evenings while their dad works days. When they’re in their bed, with the night light on, and their favorite stuffed animals, after hours of singing and reading books. I try to appreciate the quiet moments with them, because time moves so unbelievably fast.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

Meeting them for the first time. After labor, in the quiet new family room, getting to know them for the first time. My daughter had the biggest eyes, and wanted to look around all of the time. My sons first laugh when his dad held him after he was born.

What would you do with $20,000?

My husband began having seizures, and his insurance deductible is too high for us to get him back into the doctor. I would put it towards his medical bills, getting his MRI done and getting him a treatment plan. He gave me these two beautiful humans, helped me feed and raise them, and has kept a roof over all of our heads the past years. Our babies love their dad to the ends of the earth, and I want to make sure he’s able to be here with them through every little moment.
