I became pregnant at 18 and had my son when I was 19. From that moment on, I raised him entirely on my own. With no support from his father.
We would like to thank you for supporting Athela Almomor in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
Is seeing my kid grow, learn, and become their own person. It’s those little everyday moments when they accomplish something new or show love that truly mean the most. I love the bond we have, the laughs we share, and even the challenges that help us grow together. My son has always been a great kid. Out of all his cousins, he’s the first one to graduate, and I couldn’t be prouder. In August, he’s starting school to be a lead electrician, and I’m so excited to see him chase his dreams.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget? This will forever stay in my heart is the time I watched my son walk across that stage to receive his diploma. Seeing my son on that stage represented so much more than just a piece of paper. It was a celebration of all his hard work, determination, and perseverance. I thought back to all the moments he had faced challenges and kept pushing through, and it made this milestone even more meaningful. I couldn’t have been prouder to see him succeed and walk into the next chapter of his life.
What would you do with $20,000?I would purchase a house our very first home for me and my son. It would mean so much to transition from apartment living to having a place we could truly call ours. Having a home would provide stability and create a space where we could make lasting memories together. Any money left after buying the house, I would save it for my son's future. Once he graduates, that savings could help him open his own electrician company, giving him the foundation to build his dreams and succeed in his career.
