Receive Text UpdatesSeeing their growth in spite of losing their dad. My daughter is now 13 and just has it all together. She’s ranked top of her class and I constantly hear from her teachers what a kind and natural leader she is. My son is nonverbal but learning to communicate more and more every day. Now 5, he is learning to read and spell so he is able to communicate effectively. They’ve been my rock through such tragedy. Their resilience is inspiring!
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget? My son blowing out his birthday candles for his 5th birthday. It seems like a simple thing for most kids. But for him it was truly a sign of his progress in brain/body awareness and following directions. My daughter and I cheered and celebrated his major milestone! It’s something I know his dad would have given anything to see. Bittersweet for sure.
What would you do with $20,000?Pay for therapy! Hahaha! And take my girl on a shopping spree. She’s earned it. ASD therapies are costly and many are out of network. And my daughter is always so willing to jump in and lend a hand with her brother, she deserves a day of pampering just for her. She’s always allowed his needs to come first. Rewarding her for that is important.
