What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part about being a mom is feeling appreciated, loved and wanted by not only my biological child, but also my nieces and nephews through blood and friendships. Knowing that I am impacting each child’s life in a positive light, providing a safe space to grow and learn gives me the strength to continue on being a great mother. I am known first for being a mother and I am so proud and blessed to be able to be the rock to a village of amazing children who I love and adore.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

I’m blessed to have created many memories with all the children in my life. A period in time sticks out the most than others, when my nephew was diagnosed with aplastic anemia. It completely changed our lives around. Siblings were separated, normal activities for us were at a pause. Though it was hard to deal with and manage through I still was able to bring light to such a dark time. I’m forever grateful to have my little army of strong soldiers who made it through this battle together as one.

What would you do with $20,000?

As a single mother who lives in a 2 bedroom apartment. It's a struggle to provide a comfortable space for my son, 3 nephews and niece who lost both her parents. I plan to use this money toward a down payment on a house so that I can take them in permanently and give them the stability they deserve as kids. This $20,000 would change our lives in so many ways that I would even be able to take my own super mom in. I wouldn’t be who I am today if it wasn’t for her. A blessing it would be for us.
