What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

You work hard, sacrifice and cry, hoping your kids turn out alright. As you see them grow and you start to receive compliments about how great your kids are, you know all the sacrifices and tears were worth it. No one’s perfect but when you see them make progress in this dark world, you realize you’ve accomplished the near impossible and have contributed well to society.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

My kids usually have something new everyday to come up with that requires discipline or a stern talking to. They’re boys, so it’s natural. Anyways, I came home one day thinking they were going to be in a mood and it turns out they listened and appreciated my advice, so I came home to a completely cleaned home. Dishes done, laundry done and put away, showers complete, candles on, counters wiped down, floor mopped. That right there showed me that everything I said mattered and they love me.

What would you do with $20,000?

With this economy, I’d eliminate debt. Our car was stolen and through it all, we had a lot come up at once and used every piece of credit we had and pushed bills back to keep up. It was only our income coming in and we’ve been struggling to pick up the pieces and get ahead. So I’d take care of our debts and stay ahead financially.
