Ashley Hickman

I’m a devoted mom to two autistic boys, handling their medical and daily care alone. I love them fiercely and give them my all every day.

What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part of being a mom is seeing my boys feel safe, loved, and understood. Watching Noah overcome challenges and Riley express joy in his own way reminds me that every effort I make matters. Their smiles, hugs, and progress, no matter how small, make every sacrifice worth it.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

I’ll never forget the first time Riley told me he loved me. I was putting him to bed when he quietly said it. He doesn’t say many words, but now, every night before bed, he tells me he loves me. It’s a moment I cherish deeply.

What would you do with $20,000?

I would visit my sister in Texas! I miss her and her daughter so much. I’d also buy a car so I wouldn’t have to rely on my husband for transportation. Lastly, I’d open 529 plans for my boys to secure their future.
