Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Playing a part in shaping and supporting a growing person that has yet to see the potential I’ve felt since day one. Also, receiving unconditional love from their innocence which supports my growth without him even trying.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

The day he saw a picture of his great grandfather(maternal) and said ”hey it’s me!”.Then immediately looking at his uncle(my brother) and said “wait, Uncle Geek(short for Malik)?” With a puzzled look. Finally, looking between my mom and me asking “Is this us?”. It was beautiful to see him recognize familial relations.

What would you do with $20,000?

It’s easy to say put some away for my son’s future; be that schooling, towards his future home, or what passions may lie in his heart. While this would be part of it, spending time with my child has been trying due to my job and to be able to take a trip with him and simply spend time away with no screens, good food and quality time is in the top 3. Third, being keeping my parents pantry/ fridge stocked for a while after many failed and wasted meals from dealing with a very picky toddler! Thanks
