Appolonia Solomon

I dedicate my life to being a mom. Quit a fast growing career to start my own business so that I can focus on being present in their life.

What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Just sharing our lives together. Watching them learn new things, say new phrases, and coming into their personalities. I love seeing my children love on one another, stand up for each other, and take care of our little family. I fear for the day when they will grow up, leave and start their own little families. I know it'll come one day so it feels great to pour into them with all the little things they will need to go off into the world and start their own lives and grow their own families.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

Being a mom that makes my heart smile, one particular moment thats embedded in my mind is when I brought my son home and introduced him to his sisters. My oldest was 5 years old but my middle daughter was only 1 year old. When I introduced her baby brother to her she reached out to touch him and when she felt his skin she snatched her hand back and jumped as if she was startled. I guess she was expecting a baby doll and was utterly confused to feel real skin on his arm.

What would you do with $20,000?

I would use the $20K to start a higher learning program to provide opportunities for my kids and their peers. Intertwine traditional studies with modern technology. It's my dream to teach kids keyboard hand placement while learning their letters and to write sentences. Teach them about sending emails while learning to text. Learning more about coding, file storage, internet usage, and AI right along with music, language, gardening, health and nutrition and how to speak eloquently.
