What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

It is such an honor and a privilege for me to be a mom. My journey to motherhood was not easy, but each tear that I cried in my longing to become a mother taught me that my efforts were not in vain. There is something incredible about leaving a legacy for the next generation. There is something indescribable about shaping a child’s character and planting seeds that you hope will blossom and flourish. What an honor it is to be responsible for creating a good person who will change the world!

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

My all-time favorite memories with my daughter are the ones where I curate moments that facilitate her emotional and social learning. Often, these surprises leave her at a loss for words, but the evidence of her appreciation shines through with the biggest hug of gratitude. I love memories with her where I model healthy self-care behaviors, where she sees me taking care of my body through exercise, my heart through prayer, my mental through reading, and my spirit through fun and laughter.

What would you do with $20,000?

If selected to be a recipient of this generous award, I would invest into my daughter’s educational needs and secure a college fund. My mother dreamed fearlessly for me and sowed seeds for my success. I owe it to my child and myself to be an ambassador for her educational needs. I also intend to invest in my home and invest in my therapy office to improve my ability to support students in a humble school setting. It would be such an honor for me to be selected for this prestigious honor.
