Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Getting to see, delight in, & encourage each of my kids’ natural gifts, talents, skills, & interests and to see them flourish. It’s beautiful to sow into their core memories, especially with being a supportive mama of what they enjoy doing.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

Oh, their childlikeness and seeing the genuine laughter and smiles that radiate from them. I’ll never forget how my oldest son is so creative & loves to build with legos & also to literally explore new heights by climbing trees. I’ll never forget how my middle son livens up through pretend play, especially pretending to be “black panther” or “donnie” from TMNT and his love & tenderness for cats. I’ll never forget my daughter’s bright smile & dimple. 🥹

What would you do with $20,000?

Honestly, I believe it would be financially responsible for us to pay off our remaining school loan debt of $10,000 first. My husband & I both earned master’s degrees (for him in ministry, he is currently our church’s children’s & youth pastor and for me, in counseling). We love what we do as we serve & care for people in our lives. With the remainder $10,000, we would give a portion to our church, another portion to a selected cause, & then spend on good food & experiences during the getaway.
