I am a single mother with her first child, my mothers caretaker (cancer survivor) a business entrepreneur and a children’s book, author.
We would like to thank you for supporting Andrea Yeisley in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
The most rewarding part of being a mom is the personal growth we’ve experienced together. I found strength through our hardships and beauty through her in each moment of life’s ups and downs. I thought I wouldn’t be able to continue my career when I had her. But raising her completely transformed me and my work from the inside out. It brought our family joy. Because of her I understand what true, love is. I’ve learned unconditional love through caring for my daughter.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget? The smile on my moms face. I’ve seen my mom go through so much pain in the last 8 years of battling cancer. My daughters birth was the first time I saw her genuinely happy and smiling. We go to her chemo treatments and I set my daughter on the bed with my mom. My mom asks why I take pictures but it’s because I see how happy my daughter makes her and It brings me peace. I’ve seen my daughter be a blessing to every family member of mine and hers exactly at the right time. She is a gift from above.
What would you do with $20,000?I would invest a percentage of the money towards a savings and retirement for us both. I would buy a car because right now we walk to get where we need to go in all seasons! I would buy a Mac desktop to use towards my online work. Then I would invest in promoting her children’s book series and the 3 books I have in the works. One of which is based off of my transformation into motherhood “following footsteps.” I would get caught up on bills and put a down payment on a house or studio space.
