What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

After losing my firstborn (and nearly my own life) in 2010, in 2017 I left with a 5, 4 and 1 year old, losing my 10 year old stepson I had raised since he was 2. Through the hardships, I continued pushing for the best life without much financial or emotional support. Fast forward to 2025, I gained custody of my ex-stepson for the past 3.5 years. I say this all because the most rewarding part is the simple pleasure of coming home to all four of my children under my roof giving them my best

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

In better financial times, my children and I spent a summer taking multiple day trips to the beach. Never anything extravagant, packing a huge tote with snacks and drinks because they love the water and we would spend the whole day out there. Great memories and lots of pictures.

What would you do with $20,000?

My kids and I have not been able to take any type of vacation in the past couple of years. I would love to use a portion to take my children to the ultimate beach vacation in Hawaii. Their first flight and all of our first time on a real family vacation. I would also use this opportunity to take our first professional family photos as well. The remainder would go towards the future purchase of our first home.
