What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Having the honor of raising the next people that will be leaving their imprint on the planet. It’s a cliché saying, but with great power comes great responsibility. I feel as mothers. We are absolutely responsible for teaching our children, kindness, love, acceptance, and all of those things. I find this aspect, and the honour of being able to pass these things onto my children, and in turn my children’s children, the most rewarding part of being a mother.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

For my oldest, it is the day he told me that the best day of his life, was the first day he ever tried a Cheeto. For my daughter, it was the day she was born, I woke up at 5:55am, I ended up giving birth to her at 7:15am, still holding my purse, sitting in a wheelchair. With my middle who’s 11, it’s the day he called me mom. He was ignoring his friend talking to me, and then went back to his friend and said “sorry I was talking to my mom!”

What would you do with $20,000?

I would pay off debt from my student loan, and then use the rest for a down payment on a home for my family. My boys share a room and hate it. Rent prices are more than what a mortgage would cost, but without a down payment that means little. My fiancé is on disability due to a permanent injury so it’s hard to get ahead and save for a down payment.
