What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Just knowing that I gave them the tools to survive in this world without me. Not to be a Debbie downer, but I realize that I will not be here forever. It is important to me that they can take care of themselves, but that they know they can always talk to me, call me, or text me, and I’ll be there.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

The only family trip that we’ve gone on where all of my kids were able to come (my youngest ends up with his dad every other week, so family outings can be hard to plan) was when we rented a house on the lake in hot springs a couple of years ago. We rented a boat and spent an entire week together. That made my heart so happy!

What would you do with $20,000?

I would catch up our bills so that I could slow down on working so much and try to spend some time with my kiddos. I had to have emergency back surgery last year, and things have been quite a bit tighter financially since then, so my husband and I work a lot more than we’d like to.
