Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

For me, the most rewarding part of being a mom has been the strength it awakened in me. After losing my husband, I had to find the drive to keep going — not just for myself, but for my children. Guiding them through grief while carrying my own pain taught me what it truly means to love unconditionally. And now, I see that same strength in them. That’s my reward, knowing that through the hardest moments, I helped shape resilient, compassionate human beings.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

I have a lot of memories with both kids but one that really stands out is when I took my son on his first camping trip. I wanted him to have that experience—setting up a tent, making s’mores, being outside. It is so important to me that he doesn’t ever miss out on things other kids typically get to do with their Dads and I am NOT outdoorsy! Sharing that moment with him and seeing how much he enjoyed it made it really special. I can confirm that we have been back camping and I now really love it!

What would you do with $20,000?

If I won the $20,000, I would use it to help pay for my wedding this October. It’s a chance for my family to celebrate love, healing, and new beginnings. I feel so lucky to have found love again with someone who is patient, supportive, and so understanding. His love has helped both me and my children heal, and sharing this moment with our children as a family would mean the world.
