As a special needs mom, the most rewarding part is watching my brilliant children succeed and achieve their goals in their therapies that they receive. The way their faces light up when they receive praise for each met goal melts my heart every time. To know that there are people out there who give their hearts every day to help special needs children and people succeed warms my heart more than I can describe.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget? When it comes to my daughter Gabryella who is 8 years old now and in the second grade, my most fond memory is when she graduated kindergarten and received the achievement award. She had gone into kindergarten barely being able to write her first name, and she graduated in the top group of her class and she was reading at 2nd grade level. For my son Cristian who is 4, he's mostly nonverbal, but my best memory so far is how happy he was when we showed our excitement the first time he counted to 10
What would you do with $20,000?A goal for my husband and myself for our family is to have a home of our own, the $20,000 would help us come closer to that dream so that our children have a proper home with their own sensory room to fit their needs.
