What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part of being a mom is seeing my daughters be positive influences already. My oldest is 5 years old and we are always told how kind she is because she takes care of her peers in school. My twins are only 7 months old but they already being tremendous joy to those they interact with. My mother and grandmother taught me to make the world a better place and now that I'm a mom, it's so regarding to pass on this legacy.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

In truth there are so many to choose from. A core memory is working on a book with my daughter. I'm an author and she was thrilled to illustrate a book I was working on. Now she is a big sister and it has been an adjustment for her. Twins are a blessing but a lot of work and I don't always have the time and energy for her. After we finished our book she was so excited to read it to her sisters. She was thrilled to see them smile as she read to them.

What would you do with $20,000?

With infant twins we will use the funds on diapers and formula, which comes out to $500 a month or $6000 a year. We will invest $10,000 into a college fund as education is important but costly. We will use $2000 to go toward renovating their nursery. Right now they sleep in bassinets in my bedroom but they will need their own space soon. The remaining $2000 will be used to purchase books for kids who need them in collaboration with Start Lighthouse.
