What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Seeing the person your child is becoming; Seeing their hobbies become talents. Knowing they’ve learned what it means to show compassion for others. I think being able to really know that your patience and determination as a parent really does come full circle, even on hard days.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

The first time my daughter ever held her baby sister- it felt like time stopped. All the anticipation and excitement of her arrival leading up to this very moment. The emotion and care my daughter had shown for her sister was something I had never seen in her. I just witnessed the beginning of a deep rooted love;a bond that only they know. Knowing that even one day when they argue and fight, this very moment will always be what keeps them together.

What would you do with $20,000?

I want to be able to provide what I never had as a child; providing them life experiences rather than physical things. I believe people become well rounded when they have an appreciation for opportunities and experiences. My daughter has a deep love for animals, outdoors, and art and being able to give her the chance to learn, experience, and volunteer among those things would be life changing. Travel is also a big goal for our family- we want to accomplish seeing all 50 states together!
