Alexis Campisi

I actively try to make my kids lives better as well as the lives of other children. All while battling Ehlers Danlos Syndrome.

What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part of being a mother is providing my children with everything they deserve—everything I needed as a child but didn’t have. It’s an honor and a privilege to raise the next generation, a responsibility I take very seriously. Witnessing my children grow into happy, healthy, kind, and caring individuals brings me so much joy. Knowing I play a role in shaping their lives gives my own life purpose and meaning.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

One unforgettable memory of my kids is the day we brought our youngest son, Marco, home from the NICU. In 2020, I spent a month isolated in the hospital before going into preterm labor at 30 weeks. Marco spent over a month in the NICU before we could finally bring him home. The moment our family of four was united after months of separation was incredibly special, and it’s a memory I will cherish forever.

What would you do with $20,000?

With the $20,000, I would pursue several meaningful goals. I'd treat my kids to a long-overdue beach vacation. As a foster parent, I would set aside funds to support future foster children. I’d also allocate funds to manage my chronic health issues. Additionally, I would donate to the local community garden I oversee and continue planning conservation initiatives in our schools. Finally, I would invest in expanding my caterpillar-raising hobby to educate others about declining moth populations.
