Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Seeing my kids at the end of day after a long day at work. It encourages me to keep going because everything I do is for them. I know I can’t give up because I have 2 children that look up to me and depend on me to be there for them and that gives me purpose. If i wasn’t a mom I don’t know where I would be in life. Becoming a mom was the best thing that happened to me.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

After I had my daughter me and her dad split and I was going through postpartum depression and I was stressed. I remember my daughter would just smile at me everyday and I would be crying my eyes out. Her smile got me through so much and I never knew how much I needed her at that time of my life. She was like an angel sent from God. I will never forget how she lifted my spirits in the lowest point of my life. Some say kids need their parents but I feel like parents also need their kids as well.

What would you do with $20,000?

I really want to go back to school so I would pay tuition to get my associates in Radiologic technology. I would also hire a tutor for my son to get help with school because he’s struggling really bad in reading. He has dyslexia and I really want to help build his confidence so he would enjoy going to school. Whatever is left over I would save it and open up a savings account for my kids to help them when they go off to college.
