I'm a super mom, balancing my autistic son's therapies by day and nursing school by night to improve our lives.
We would like to thank you for supporting Alexandria Petrangelo in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
The most rewarding part of being a mom is watching my children grow and thrive. Watching my son make progress, learning new skills through therapy fills my heart with pride. Watching my daughter’s maturity bloom by helping with her brother as well as navigating her own life is also fulfilling. The love we all share is what makes the hard work worth it.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget? One memory I will never forget is when I realized the bond my children had. At first I was scared of the big age difference between them, 10 years. But when I walked into the living room that day, I knew there was nothing to worry about. My daughter, sitting on the couch, my son in her arms, both watching tv completely content and relaxed. He doesn’t sit still for most people but when it comes to his sister, that’s his favorite person.
What would you do with $20,000?With $20,000 I would pay my son’s medical bills, create for him a proper space to enhance his therapy teachings, and use the remainder to give my daughter the quinceanera (Sweet 15) she rightfully deserves.
