It comes down to the deep, unshakable bond I am building with my daughter. Being her rock—and watching her grow, thrive, and become her own person, knowing I helped shape that, is incredibly fulfilling. There’s also a strong sense of pride in knowing I’m handling both the struggles and the victories solo, and still creating a life filled with love and security.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?The very first time my daughter said “Mama.” We were living in a hotel and I was near tears. Almost at the same moment one tear fell she says “mama.” I instantly smiled and hugged her. That was the motivation and power I needed to not just survive but to thrive.
What would you do with $20,000?I would use the funds to secure a stronger financial future for my family. I would contribute to my daughter’s college fund to help ensure she has the opportunity to pursue higher education without the burden of student debt. I would put a portion of the money toward a down payment on a home, providing long-term stability and a place for us to build lasting memories. Finally, I would use the remainder to pay off outstanding debt, allowing me to focus on saving and investing for the future.
