Aimee Beck

I balance endless appointments, special needs kids a household, and love, all after surviving a near-death experienced the end of last year.

What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part of being a mom is the deep, unconditional love I share with my children. Watching them grow, learn, and overcome challenges fills my heart in a way nothing else can. It’s in the small moments, their laughter, a tight hug, or the way they look at me, that I realize I’m their safe place. Even on the hardest days, knowing I am shaping their world and giving them love that lasts a lifetime makes it all worth it.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

Every Sunday we all sit at the table in our kitchen with a blank piece of white paper. One person picks a topic or character and we have to draw whatever was picked. We’ve done wizards, dragons, monkeys and many more. It has been a fun experience to spend this time together and watch my children’s artistic talent grow each time.

What would you do with $20,000?

I would start by putting some toward a college fund for my kids, then adding to our savings. I would use some to hire help in my home; to ease my daily workload as we are out of the house a lot due to medical appointments for my young children. I would love to take a real family vacation, something I have been longing for, but haven’t been able to achieve. I would also like to use some to do something that would help me find me again.
