I am supporting my son’s amateur boxing career fully. I help any way I can whether that’s fundraising or putting on a pair of gloves.
We would like to thank you for supporting Adriana Soltero-Munoz in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
Watching my child’s personality evolve. He will work hard for something he really wants even if it costs him blood sweat and tears. I never believed in myself as a kid. I always took comfort in the idea of something I wanted but never thought I could manifest it. Now I have a son who inspires me to go after what I want. I literally birthed that part of me I didn’t think existed!
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget? Before boxing, my son played football. My husband worked a lot so I spent a lot of time with him practicing drills and learning plays. There was one play in particular he just could turn around at the right time to catch the ball. He cried and was so frustrated. Never once did he say, “ I don’t want to do this anymore!”. He kept going until he got it. I had a little moment where I realized, this kid is going to be amazing at anything he does in life.
What would you do with $20,000?I want to start a family boxing gym. We already spend so much time there. I train with my son in the morning, cardio strength training. My husband does the boxing with him after school. I love the boxing community and how it brings families together. I even joined a local women’s boxing network and sparred a few rounds. What’s so funny too is that I use to hate it! Hah! But that was because I didn’t understand the science behind it like I do now.
