We escaped an abusive household, mid pandemic. My son’s happiness and safety is my priority in life!
We would like to thank you for supporting Adeline Bodnaruik in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
The most rewarding part of being a mom is easily watching my sweet boy grow and learn. He loves school and I love when he comes home and tells me the new things he’s learnt. It can be difficult to swallow that those sweet baby feet keep getting bigger but I cannot wait to see who he becomes.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget? You mean other than our killer teamwork having the easiest labor?! When my son was 3 he had visited family away from me for nearly two weeks. I missed him immensely of course but the moment he saw me when he came out of the airport, he began crying and yelling mommy over and over. When I wrapped him up in my arms he was shaking. Then in that moment I knew how much he loved me back. Our unbreakable bond existed from both sides.
What would you do with $20,000?Wow, where to start? I feel like for the past 6 years I have been in an ongoing war with surviving in this economy as a single mom. First, I’d stock my pantry and refrigerator with local fresh organic foods that we love but cost a little extra. I’d fill my gas tank and service my car. The rest would go towards my son’s schooling, my retirement fund and maybe some for family events over the summer. We’ll see how far it goes!
